Are you a therapist? Practise with us

A man sitting by a rain-streaked window in the evening

Say what has been going on. Someone will listen.

Free, private, in your own words or your own voice. A registered clinical psychologist hears every word and writes back to you. Or make an account and a person finds you the right therapist.

Say it nowSpeak or type what has been going on. Hayash reads it and writes back, usually within 3 days.Make an accountTell us a little about yourself, and a person matches you with a verified therapist. Not sure what you need? Take the free 5-minute check

Who hears it

One person, and you can see who. Hayash is a registered clinical psychologist, and reads everything that arrives personally. Nothing you send goes to a model, a scorer or a call centre.

“I work with emotional, relationship, family, stress, anxiety, mood, and personality-related concerns, creating a space where you can speak openly and feel genuinely heard.”

What happens when you say it

Someone speaking a voice note into their phone on a bench at dusk
  1. Say it, however it comes

Speak it or type it, in English, Malayalam or Hindi. It does not need to be tidy or long. If saying anything feels like too much right now, say that.

  2. A person listens

Not a chatbot, not a score, not a form that sorts you. A registered clinical psychologist reads every word you sent.

  3. They write back to you

An email in their own words: what they think might be going on, what kind of support would fit, and what a first session would really be like. Sometimes it says you do not need weekly therapy, and what to do instead.

  4. Then it is yours

Book someone, book nobody, sit with it for a month. There is nothing to pay and nobody will chase you.

We would rather tell you the real number than a fast one.

If you make an account

From the form to the first session.

  1. 01

    Tell us how it's been

    about five minutes

Five questions, in your own words: what's been heavy, what you'd like help with, the language you think in, who you'd rather talk to, and what you can comfortably pay.

  2. 02

    A person reads it

    usually within a day

Plain rules narrow the panel by language, need and availability. Then someone on our team reads what you actually wrote and picks from that shortlist, sometimes overruling it.

  3. 03

Meet one therapist, not four hundred

    one or two profiles

A name, a qualification, an RCI registration number we checked ourselves, and the full session fee. On the profile, where you can think about it, not at checkout.

  4. 04

    Stay, or change your mind

    free either way

Book the next session in two taps and keep the same therapist for as long as it's working. If it isn't, tell us once and we re-match you.

Free to start. Nothing you write is stored until you’ve read what we collect and said yes.

Pricing

What you see on the profile is what you pay.

we compete on the match, not the price.

Rates follow a therapist’s training and years in practice, never a promotion. Sessions run 50 minutes, by video. Our cut comes out of that rate rather than on top of it, so there is no booking fee, no membership and no package you have to buy first.

Cancel or reschedule free up to 12 hours before. The exact rule.

Early-career
₹1,800 – 2,500 per session
M.A. or M.Phil qualified and RCI-registered, usually one to four years into practice. Reviewed by our clinical lead before they join the panel.
Experienced
₹2,800 – 4,000 per session
M.Phil or equivalent, four to ten years in, with a defined area of focus. Where most of our panel sits.
Senior specialist
₹4,200 – 6,000 per session
PhD or senior clinical psychologist, ten years and up, often working with complex or longstanding concerns.

Why cashew

What we will and won’t do.

Every line below is already written down in our privacy or cancellation policy. None of it is aspirational, which is why it can be this specific.

We will

  • Check every therapist's RCI registration by hand before their profile can reach you.
  • Show the full session fee on the profile, before you book anything.
  • Have a person read your intake and choose your match, usually within a day.
  • Keep your journal locked in the database itself, not just hidden in the app.
  • Re-match you free if the fit is wrong, even after you've booked.
  • Let you cancel or reschedule free up to 12 hours before, no reason needed.

We won’t

  • Let an algorithm make the final call on who you're matched with.
  • Let any AI read your journal, or stand in for a therapist.
  • Sell your data, run ads against it, or tell your college, employer or family anything.
  • Store a word you write before you've read what we collect and agreed to it.
  • Put the fee behind a membership, a package, or an “unlock to view.”
  • Email you to guilt you back.

Before you say anything

Does it cost anything?

Saying it costs nothing, and neither does making an account: no card, nothing to unlock. Sessions with a therapist are paid at the fee on their profile, with nothing added on top.

Which door should I use?

If you are not sure therapy is for you, or you just need someone to hear it first, say it now. If you already know you want a therapist, make an account and a person will match you with one.

Will my family, college or employer find out?

No. We do not tell anyone, and there is nobody we report to. What you send is read by the psychologist and by the two people who run Cashew, nobody else. The reply comes by email rather than WhatsApp so a psychologist’s name never appears on a lock screen someone else can see.

Is this a chatbot?

No. A real, named, registered person reads it and writes the reply themselves. We use software to flag anything urgent so a human sees it sooner, and we never let it write a sentence you read.

What happens to what I send?

We keep the words, not a recording. We delete them 90 days after the reply goes out unless you have become a Cashew client, and you can ask us to delete it sooner from the email we send you.

Can I pay to be heard sooner?

No, and there is no version of this where you can. Anything that reads as a crisis goes first, always, and there is no charge attached to that either.

Whenever you are ready.
